How long has Nova Construction been established?
Originally started by Mark Haran in approx. 1987. In 2007 James Haran (Mark's son) joined the company and the business became a partnership.
Are you VAT registered?
Yes. VAT No. 891 8741 76.
Can we see references from past clients and examples of completed projects?
Reviews from past clients can be found on our Facebook & Google pages. You can also see before, during and completed projects on our Facebook & Instagram pages. Where possible, it can be arranged for you to see completed projects in person. We also have Case Sudies of projects on our Project Page
Does Nova Construction have the correct insurances in place and certificates where required?
Yes. Nova Construction is fully insured. Certificates can be provided for extra peace of mind when required.
When booking a project in, do you take a deposit? And is there a payment schedule?
Yes, we ask for a small deposit to book works in. Deposits vary depending on the value of the works. With a deposit invoice you receive a payment plan, with the value of the works split into even stage payments. The first stage invoice will have the deposit value removed from it. Each stage payment invoice is raised upon completion of the work listed.
Why should we choose Nova Construction for our project?
We are a family business that cares, we take great care and pride in our work. We only ever take on one large project at a time, so when we are working in a house we treat it as if it were our own home. Our core values are quality, reliability and trust, resulting in an end product we are proud to put our name to.
Will we always have a point of contact before, during and after completion of a project?
Yes. More than likely this will be James. Along with the standard contact details, we usually start a group chat with all adults in the property, so that day to day questions can be raised, or notice given when there will be noise, power down etc. This is convenient if there are people living in the property who work from home.
How do I get my project started with Nova Construction?

Do you undertake small works?
Yes. It's not all extensions, conversions and refurbishments. Although that is our main workload, we do undertake all small works, including roof repairs, replacement kitchens and storm damage repairs. If the service you require is not listed on our website, contact us to see how we can help.
Do I need planning permission?
Not all extensions require full planning permission. Some can be built under permitted development. Contact us today to discuss your works and whether you require planning permission.
Does Nova Construction undertake drawings and plans where required?
Yes. We draw plans in house, and can act as agent & principal designer for the homeowner, allowing for a smoother project when all plans and construction are undertaken by us. Should you require structural calculations, we work alongside an engineer who can produce these.
